After the amazing trip in New Zealand it’s taken me a while to wrap my mind around being back here and getting ready for the 2012 cycling season. Before my calendar fills up I have this one opportunity to relax and make sure my camper is ready. So on Thursday Andrea and I are heading down to North Carolina with our mountain bikes… to test the readiness of of the camper and our legs for the season ahead. This past Sunday was the first race of the 2012 season in Ontario; the Homage to Ice. Typically it has lots of snow and ice and mud… not this year. The winter that wasn’t made for a great course and I enjoyed stretching my legs walking the course as the race was on. Since then I’ve been enjoying getting Babe ready for her season. My calendar is very full through to September, I’m looking forward to all the places it will take me. For now, I’m looking forward to a week in North Carolina!
